Taking back to the email list ...

Tyler:
My suggested marketing driver for labels are:
0. Explain what is inside the DVD ("Geospatial Open Source")
1. Promote OSGeo-Live
2. Promote OSGeo (which is done by the OSGeo-Live logo)
3. Look reasonably good
4. Bonus if we also mention/promote FOSS4G

I think that Alex's last iteration covered all that.
Some of the earlier versions didn't mention OSGeo-Live or OSGeo, also
some versions had a clash of green osgeo logo with red background colours.

Of course we could tweak some things and use the Live logo instead (where can I find hi-res version of that?). But we really must keep simple use of the logos, preferably in colour since that is what our audience is used to seeing... and with a white background it doesn't get muddy at all. With a nice printer it will look good.

I would also create a black (1 bit) version for the label, so people can use lightscribe at home to label the disks, but if we have professionally printed ones I think it will make a much bigger impact. Keep in mind we'll need a label for USBs too!
