For the official OSGeo Live, I think we should stick to including
everything. I have been pondering adding a config file (or implementing
the one Cameron started), for the purpose of making it easier to turn
on/off sections like those you list + different datasets, optional
things not on the main disk etc. The idea is to make it easier for
others to make their own variant that focuses on more specific topics,
ie. the edu group.
