[Live-demo] What version of applications should we be installing on OSGeo-Live 6.5? - for mapguide / fdo

MapGuide Open Source 2.4.0 (and FDO 3.7) already has binary deb packages
for Ubuntu 12.04.

If the LiveDVD is only 32-bit applications, it may be quicker and easier to
use this binary release as the starting point instead of battling with gcc,
automake and friends.

However this still uses bundled Apache/PHP/Tomcat and the full CS-Map
dictionary set which as noted, may pose some problems when disk space is a
premium. Off the top of my head, the bits you can chop out to save disk
space include:

   - CS-Map dictionary files that you won't ever use for the demo data set
   (Sheboygan?): http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/ticket/1736
   - Tomcat
   - Unused modules from bundled Apache
   - Unused extensions from bundled PHP
   - All FDO providers except for SDF and SHP
