Hi, just for your information,
I have backported latest PostGIS package from Debian Sid to Ubuntu
Precise, but I didn't have a time to test it.

Package is build in my PPA [1], which is a fork of UbuntuGIS. Source
code is at GitHub [2] in 'ubuntu/precise' branch
