 Hi,

 we noticed lauchpad bug # 975152 and worked around it in r11499 for
 desktop icons, but it seems it happens from the menus too.

 not sure, maybe we need to edit the C code and rebuild the lx menu package
 to solve that? will consult the launchpad ticket..

 e.g. GRASS fails to start from the Education menu.
