[Lizmap] Table fails to zoom to features

Hi all,
in one installation of LM (but not on another, same data in PostGIS) the
zoom to feature function from the attribute table fails to work. The
main difference I see is: where it works I'm accessing the db through a
plain connection, where it does not I'm going though a VPN, but I don't
understand why this should influence the zoom.

With shp data all works fine in both installations.
Any hint will be appreciated.
In both cases LM 3.3.5, QGIS server 3.10.5 on Debian.
