I second this.

There is a page in the Wiki too:

I sugget that we add a paragraph describing how different programming
lanuguage projects can perfectly interact with each other through a SOA
with standard interfaces and protocols (fx: http, WMS, SQL, etc.).

Probably mashups and high level APIs should also be mentioned.
