I agree wholeheartedly - Dave has helped fill critical needs in the osgeo 
community and was key in launching the foundation initiative.  I would really 
like to see him on the board to help provide his insights, ideas and 
management skills.  I have presented alongside Dave at various conferences 
and kicked many ideas around with him over the past few years - it is always 
a pleasure to work with him.
