[OSGeo-Discuss] I suggest overview page for osgeo projects and pointers to applications using osgeo projects.

No worries about being on topic (this is a discussion email list). The webcom
committee has a list of content they would like to see generated, I will check
to see if something like the overview pages you describe are on the list.

Helping someone in the design and component selection phase is one of the
intended uses for the website. I tend to work more on programming components,
but some others here should have suggestions for you.
