Thanks for the feedback.
Realized that you were a part of this study after sending
my mail.

We also have the Indian defence folks talking about
developing an indigenous GIS solution.

I think, a large part of OSGeo software originates for
the Department of Defence. It would make sense if the
defence folks in India choose to go the Open Source
way and not go about reinventing the wheel.
