This does present some ideas, but I am not sure how much is common 
practice outside of my own community. I would love for example to see an 
IRC Breakout (and possible coding sprint) around some the the website 
content generation ideas.

Given your next point I will hesitate before adding more suggestions.

Perhaps a betters solution would be to actually use a bug tracker and 
priority system for these ideas at the committee level - use the tools 
we know. By definition we are ideas pipes and not very much will stop 
the flow.

Well you could cut down caffeine intake.

I cannot really start recruiting until I show benefit, so I am a bit 
stuck here :-(

Having the few issues the GeoTools community is blocked on marked as 
such for the board would probably help.

Interesting point, but I also have to admit that our loyalty is divided 
- we all have communities to attend to as well.
