Sure,
They are totally different products. The Studio API interacts with the Autodesk's desktop application, while the Web Server API interacts directly with MapGuide Open Source. There appears to be some functional overlap.
Both of these API sets have documentation which can be loaded as part of the install procedure. Because MapGuide Open Source is currently a "preview" application, the documentation for the web extensions is somewhat incomplete and contains formatting inconsistancies.
