problem with layer_style title length

Hi,

When updating a WMS with the monitoring tool I ran into problems with 
layer styles (table layer_style): The length of the title is restricted 
to 50 characters; the layer title in question ('Arbitrary color image of 
the SRTM averaged reflectance') had 54 characters so the WMS update failed.

I would like to hear some opinions on whether this is too restrictive or 
  it would be more sensible to truncate the layer title. Any opinions 
are highy appreciated,


Beim Update eines WMS mit dem Monitor-Tool gab es Probleme mit den 
Layerstyle (Tabelle layer_style): Die Länge des Titels ist auf 50 
Zeichen beschränkt; der betroffene Layertitel ('Arbitrary color image of 
the SRTM averaged reflectance') hatte 54 Zeichen, somit konnte der WMS 
nicht aktualisiert werden.

Ich würde mich über eine Diskussion freuen, ob diese Einstellung zu 
restriktiv ist oder es vernünftiger wäre, den Titel abzuschneiden. Jede 
Meinung ist willkommen,
