Hi Ruby,
 
perhaps you should configure the Mapbender without OWSPROXY for the first time and just try to get the mapbender and mapserver running. Owsproxy is not essential to get the mapbender work. 
When you installed the main things like apache,php,postgres/postgis and copied the mapbender directory to the htdocs of the mapbender, you can check out the mapbender_setup.php script with:
 
http://your-domainname-or-localhost/mapbender/tools/mapbender_setup.php
 
or, if you have not configured the apache vitual directory (the alias of mapbender):
 
http://your-domainname-or-localhost/mapbender/http/tools/mapbender_setup.php
 
It will give you some information about your installation status. 
 
 
Much fun with learning german. They say, that its a very difficult to learn! ;-)
(But normally, everything at the mapbender wiki should be in english. Perhaps it will be translated soon?!)

	Thanks for the greetings and the link. 
	
	There's a very long OWSPROXY section on the Apache Mapbender Wiki page. I checked the OWSPROXY Wiki page but it's also in German. I was wondering if there's anything more I need to change in my httpd.conf and if there's more configuration instructions for OWSPROXY. 
	
	Right now, I'm trying to tailor-fit Mapbender and Mapserver to my Windows 2000 xampp (www.apachefriends.org ) installation. I have Apache 2.2.3,  PHP 5.1.6, MySQL  5.0.24 and am in the process of installing PostgreSQL 8.2.3-1 and PostGIS 1.2.1. If you have any tips and warning you'd like to share, I'll be eternally grateful. I'll try to learn a bit of German in the meantime.

			Hi everyone,
			
			I'm trying out both Mapserver and Mapbender for the first time, and on the installation page of Mapbender's Wiki, there's a link to a non-English Apache page that I can't understand. Does anyone have an English translation of it? 
			
			Be gentle please, I'm an extreme n00b and speaks only English (and Tagalog) besides.
