[Mapbender-users] map and other GUI elements disappear

which elements did you switch off?

I recommend using a debugging tool like Firebug (getfirebug.com) for 
Mozilla Firefox. I'm sure you have some JavaScript errors in your 
application.

Please report back with these error messages.
