try to set the PATH variable before running the install.bat command:
 
set PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.4\bin:%PATH%

Hello dear users,

I'm trying to install mapbender for Windows 7.  So far I installed Apache Web Server, PHP (ms4w), Postgres, Postgis (Windows StackBuilder; the databases contain pgsql-language) and Poedit successfully. I downloaded and extracted mapbender.zip and followed the installation instructions and made the changes concerning httpd.conf, mapbender.conf, po-file to mo-file. After entering install.bat on the windows-shell a psql-error occurs. Where do I have to set the PATH-Variable and am I right to assume that the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.4\bin\psql.exe? I copied the message from the shell:   



Your Choices:
Databasetype: PostgreSQL
Encoding: UTF-8
Database Host: localhost
Database Port: 5432
Database Name: mapbendereins
Database Template: template_postgis
Database User: postgres

Looks ok, start install?

(y)es or (n)o? y
Sorry, psql not found, must be in PATH-Variable, exiting...
Finished...check the log files to see if an error occured.
