Subject: [Mapbender-users] adding one JS function map measure function to
	Mapbender app - best approach ?

Happy new year to all,
 
I am working on configuring a Mapbender 3.0.X  application and have an
alternative measure tool JS function (for OpenLayers.X that shows the
segments length when measuring on the map) 
whihc I would like to add to the Mapbender app.
 
What is the correct (bust easiest) way to add that to my mapbender app ?
Will it be necessary to create a full new bundle for only this one JS file
(like documented in
<https://doc.mapbender.org/de/development/element_generate.html>
https://doc.mapbender.org/de/development/element_generate.html )
that I have and from which I need to call one function only when measuring ?

Hallo allerseits,
 
für ein kleines Projekt suche ich kurzfristig Unterstützung zum Einbau von
einer  (bereits in Javascript exitierenden Funktionen für Openlayers 2) in
den MapBender 3.0.X..
Der Umfang an Stunden ist nicht sehr hoch (geschätzt 4-6 Stunden) . Wer hat
interesse ?

Hi All,

I was trying to test thsi feature in teh MB 3.0.5 version and sucessfulyl
installed it. Now I tried to configure it but was not sure about this part
of the doumnetation in

How to highlight the geometry
To use this functionality you have to extend your FeatureInfo-Template. It
needs a class="geometryElement", data-srid="EPSG:4326" with the information
about the projection of the data and data-geometry with the WKT presentation
of the geometry:

data-geometry="MULTIPOLYGON(...)" >...</table>
If you use PostgreSQL as datasource in your WMS Service, you can use the
PostGIS function st_asText(geom) to generate the WKT.

1. So if I use the PostGIS data source how would I go about to create the
WKT ? Would I create a view in teh DB and add a column 'WKT' by using
st_asText(geom) and add that as WMS to mapbender ?

2. In the FeatureInfo-Template if I did create the WKT via PostGIS what
wpould I need to refer to as "data-geometry" ?
How would the syntax look correctly ?

only working in an older Mapbender version 3.0.5.x)

Hello Lukas,

if you test this new function of the digitizer module in the developer
mode [1] an error message should appear (in the log file and application
interface).
The apostrophes are set by Mapbender for a valid syntax and should
actually lead to no error, but avoid mistakes...

You have activated the digitizer in version 1.2. in your system [2]?
