Mapbender Version 4.1.1 veröffentlicht am 13.05.2025

Hallo Mapbender-Community,

das Mapbender-Entwicklungsteam hat die Mapbender Version 4.1.1 am 
13.05.2025 veröffentlicht. 
Herzlichen Dank an alle Beteiligten, auch an alle, die Bugs über die 
Mailing-Liste oder das Ticket-System gemeldet haben.

Die neue Version ist ein Bugfix Release.

Das Update bestehender Mapbender-Installationen auf die Version 4.1.1 
ist problemlos möglich (siehe Changelog [6]).

Das gebaute Paket findet sich unter [1] und der Tag der Version 4.1.1 
unter [2].

Neuerungen der Version 4.1.0 / 4.1.1
------------------------------------
Zur Übersicht der Neuerungen im Release 4.1.0 (12.2.2025) möchten wir 
auf den ausführlichen Visual Changelog-Artikel unter Aktuelles verweisen

Darüberhinaus bietet das Changelog eine Übersicht über alle Änderungen 
[5][6].

Docker
------
Das Mapbender Projekt stellt auf dockerHub Images bereit [7]. Für die 
Version 4.1.1 liegt nun eine neue Version bereit.

Umstieg auf die neue Version
----------------------------
PHP 8.1 ist die älteste unterstützte PHP-Version.
Wir empfehlen Ihnen ein Update auf Mapbender 4.1.1.
Ein Update von 3.3.x auf Version 4.1.1 ist möglich.

Es gibt aber ein paar Schritte zu beachten. 
Lesen Sie daher unbedingt das Dokument UPGRADING.md [10].

Der Migrationsleitfaden [11] in die Dokumentation enthält zusätzliche 
Hinweise für das Update auf neue Versionen.

Mapbender version 4.1.1 released 2025-05-13

Hello Mapbender community,

the Mapbender development team has released Mapbender version 4.1.1 on 
2025-05-13.

Thanks a lot to all people involved, including those who reported bugs 
via the mailing list or the github issue tracker.

The new version is a bugfix release.

The built package can be found at [1] and the version 4.1.1 tag at [2].

New features of version 4.1.0 / 4.1.1
-------------------------------------
For an overview of the new features in the Major Release 4.1.0 
(2025-02-12), we would like to refer you to the detailed Visual 
Changelog News [4]
The changelog also provides a list of all changes [5][6].

Docker
-------
The Mapbender project also provides dockerHub images [7]. For the 
release 4.1.1, a new version is available.
The documentation for Docker can be found at [8].

Documentation
-------------
The documentation is also currently being updated to version 4. It can 
be found at [9].

Switching to the new version
----------------------------
PHP 8.1 is the oldest supported PHP version.
An update from 3.3.x to version 4.1.1 is possible. However, there are a 
few steps to follow. 
It is therefore essential that you read the document UPGRADING.md [10].

The migration guide in the documentation contains additional information 
on updating to new versions [11]
