And, a topic previously brought up, what it would take to include ECW and
MrSID support with the GDAL provider.

I would like to get all of the Open Source providers in the windows
installer, but from what I can see, it will only automatically install
ArcSDE, MySql, ODBC, SDF, SHP, WFS and WMS. That is, the OGR and GDAL
providers will not be automatically installed. In order to get these to be
installed we will need to get merge modules for them.

The Autodesk Raster provider will no longer be made available. GDAL can now
be used for raster.

And the Windows installer will be bundled with all of them? Including
Raster? Will the Autodesk Raster provider no longer be made available?

Hi Andy,

Yes, but they will be individual tar balls for each of the providers. They
will correspond to each of the fdo sub projects at http://fdo.osgeo.org
(fdocore, fdosdf, etc.).

Cheers
Tom

Tom,
Is there going to be an FDO source tar ball that includes all FDO providers
instead of just SDF and Shape?

Thanks.

Hi,

We don't have a release process defined yet for MapGuide Open Source so
hopefully this email will do for now.

We plan to post MapGuide Open Source 1.1.0 next week on November 30th, 2006.
If you have any issues with this, please raise them.

The release tentatively consists of:
* Source tar balls
* Windows installers
* Updated readme
* Release notes
* Revised viewer samples
* Updated Getting Started with MapGuide
* Updated Installing MapGuide on Windows
* Updated Building MapGuide on Linux
* Updated Building MapGuide on Windows
* Updated Installing the MapGuide Sample Data and Application

Also note this release requires that the FDO providers support the FDO 3.2
API.

Cheers
Tom
