Jorge,
The MapGuide open source community would welcome you localizing MapGuide
into Spanish.
I have added some information below on what needs to be done in order to
do this.
MapGuide resource information:
The latest "Trunk" version of MapGuide (upcoming v1.2) now has only a
single resource file that is used by either the server or web tier. This
should make it easier to localize then the previous 2 files. The
MapGuide resource file is located in the source tree here:
..\Common\MapGuideCommon\Resources\mapguide_en.res
The file naming convention used by MapGuide is as follows:
mapguide_en.res
The filename uses the ISO 639-1 naming convention for the locale. "en"
for English in the above example.
You can find a list of ISO 639-1 names here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes
In your case for Spanish the filename would be: mapguide_es_res
If you are testing your new resource file you will need to copy your
resource file to the following locations:
server - Resources folder in the same folder as the mgserver.exe
web - ..\WebServerExtensions\www\mapagent\Resources folder
Also, you will need to pass the locale of your client, "es" in your
case, in order for the server to know that it is talking to a Spanish
client instead of an English one.
Thanks,
Bruce

I have dowloaded the contributor agreement pdf file and I will sign and
send
it as soon as possible.
I'll be waiting for Tom info.
