[mapguide-internals] More Mailing List Behavior Suggestions

+1 Andy. I would like to see JPG and GIF image attachments be allowed
within a certain size constraint (say 500 kB?). Screenshots are valuable in
some instances and it is difficult for some people to post to a public site
and supply links to said images.

Given that there has been no objection, do you want to start/modify the
Motion to:

- Change the list behaviour to reply-to-list
- Change the list behaviour to convert text/html to plaintext
- Change the list behaviour to only allow the following content types:
  text/plain
  text/xml
... (do we want to allow jpg images or gifs? Do PHP/ASPX/JSP files come
through as text/plain?)

If nobody objects...

I think we (almost?) have consensus for the reply-to-list behaviour for the
MapGuide project. If we can go to plaintext only at the same time I'd be
happy.

Jason

Yes, mailman has this option "convert text/html parts to plain text"
which will do what you want. Should I go through and set that for all of the
lists?

BTW - It looks like SAC is proposing all general OSGeo lists go with the
"reply to sender" option, but individual projects can follow their own path.

I think our users (not your typical open source project) would be
happier with reply-to-list. I also think that the default should be
	reply-to-user for other OSGeo lists.

On the same note, I would _really_ like to be able to force
plain-text
for our mailing list. Is this possible?

:O ok ... I'll stop making noise now and let you get on with it
:) I
remove any previous objections in the interest of getting things
done!

	Cheers
