[mapguide-internals] More Mailing List Behavior Suggestions

"User Beware, you who -- juggling a dozen things at once -- mistakenly sends
a reply to the group that was intended for a specific user."

I was having the exact opposite problem - mistakenly sending a reply to the
individual poster when it was intended for the group. Since it is a public
mailing list, I feel that all response should go to the list 90% of the time
and wanting to send to the individual is a rare occurrence.

I've got to agree.  Header-Munging is double-plus-ungood.

I don't like the inconsistency. In this list, headers are munged. That one
they're not. Or was it the other way around? User Beware, you who --
juggling a dozen things at once -- mistakenly sends a reply to the group
that was intended for a specific user.

I don't like the absence of any feedback that Reply will be mapped to Reply
to All.

I don't like the machine overriding my intent ;-) I don't need to be
protected from myself:
* If I select Reply, I mean Reply (to sender alone)
* If I select Reply to All/Group/..., I mean Reply to All, and feel the
material being sent is of value to the group as a whole.

;-)

HeaderMunging--;

EverythingElse++;

I still don't think it is a good idea to have a different behaviour this
list from what SAC is proposing for the general lists. I'm -0.
