[mapguide-internals] RFC54 related - as we are changing the layerDefinition and mapDefinition schema

with RFC54 proposing to rev the layerDefinition and mapDefinition
formats, can we consider
what other changes that might get made

Being able to specify the image format for both "layer groups" and
"base layer groups" within a mapDefinition,

Also the selection color for a layerDefinition
