[mapguide-internals] Do mapguide usernames really need to be case sensitive?

Hi Zac,

I remember we have case-sensitive usernames (and all others like resource IDs, etc.) because XML is case-sensitive (and so Linux :). We could remove this restriction though it would introduce some overheads for using case-insensitive XPath/XQueries.

Just wondering, falling back on the previous discussion about
security, was there a
reason for having case sensitive usernames?

 hooking into other authentication sources like system accounts or
ldap is that going to be an issue?

it's possible to have both administrator and Administrator as seperate user ids
