That's too bad; there are a few cases I can think of (esp, trying to replicate the extent of our mapbook tiles) where being able to specify scale, extents, and dpi would be really handy.

Hi Jason,

The data extent parameters apply only to the DWF Viewer, and are not used or supported in calls from the AJAX Viewer (or Fusion).

Sounds good to me Chris; this would have been handy back when
GetMapImage wasn't clipping.  The fewer round trips (this, XML->JSON
calls, etc) the better.

Is there a reason that the GETMAPIMAGE data extent parameters are grayed
out on the web tier tests and not used in this RFC?  Do they not work?
