That is not the expected behavior.

My guess is that the web tier is throwing an exception when it tries to convert the result to XML.

Using the Sample Symbolization dataset

Do a SELECTFEATURES call via the mapagent test pages with the following
parameters:

Resource ID:
Library://Samples/Symbolization/Highways/Data/Interstate.FeatureSource
Class Name: interstate

An exception will be thrown with the message: "value for PREFIX property is
null"

Is this expected behaviour?
