Just have a php file whose content is just:

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

And then access this file from your web browser, if you get a PHP information page we know that PHP is working.

Refresh my memory of how to run phpinfo()...Path etc...

does phpinfo() work for you?

Also if you set "display_errors = On" in php.ini, is there any extra error information?

I downloaded the 2.1 B installer...I ran the installer on an XP machine SP3, I had previously Uninstalled MG 2.01 and Web Extensions...
...Heres what I go...
In order to run the mapagent and enumerate resources I had to switch fcgi to use mapagent EXE before it would work...
...On Mapadmin I got the 500 error, I moved my PHP system Variable to the front of the line...and even rebooted No luck...i changed my PHP extension to use PHP-CGI.exe...I now get the login page...I login as I did succesfully on the mapagent Administrator/admin And It doesnt go to the 500 error page...It just Gives my a red "Authentication" Error msg...when I try to Login with a bad username and pass...I get an error saying bad user name and password...What gives?

I'm assuming this post belongs here since its Beta...and not full release.
