That matrix is a little out-dated: the DWF viewer is being deprecated
throughout and the coordinate system library will be CS-MAP throughout now
that Autodesk has also donated that as part of the MetaCRS OSGeo project.

Yes, the developers are for the most part all from Autodesk. Autodesk's
commercial product, MapGuide Enterprise, does much what Redhat does for
Linux (Fedora). The largest benefits of going with MapGuide Enterprise are
their additional (non open source) FDO providers, a formal QA/QC process
prior to releases, and commercial technical support. If you do not need any
of those things, then you can probably get by with MGOS.

Subject: [mapguide-internals] Just 1 Question?

Hi all.
It sounds i should ask these questions here. (sorry if they are not related
abit)
1. Are developers of MGOS and MGE the same?
2.If so, what is the benefit of Autodesk here for MGOS?
I'm confused of what benefits publiblishing a product as open source can
have for a commercial company!!!
(It sounds no big difference of this 2 version, am i right?)
Thanks in advance for your help.
