One thing that I could not make work with VCExpress 2010 was integrating the x64 compiler/tools into the IDE. The hacks that make this happen in 2008 are no longer applicable to 2010 since the registry entries that controlled them are no longer there. So the 64bit compiler has to be invoked manually.

And this is to confirm that cross-compiling to 64-bit with vc express works
as well.

So unless Microsoft has done something drastically different with the VC++
2010 express edition, MapGuide should build with that express edition too.
