As Trevor replied, he is looking into the build issue so that's in good hands.

To answer your other question, the source is here: http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/browser/branches/3.5/Providers/GenericRdbms/Src/PostGis

All the providers that are based off the GenericRdms framework are here:
http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/browser/branches/3.5/Providers/GenericRdbms/Src

Cheers
Tom

Subject: [mapguide-internals] Mapguide 2.2 beta PostGIS provider & PostgreSQL/PostGIS provider failure

I'm on Centos 5.5 with Mapguide 2.2 Beta

When trying to create a dataconnection with both PostGIS provider and
PostgreSQL/PostGIS provider from Maestro (very recent version) I
obtain the infamous-and-way-too-generic
CLNT_8_UNABLE_TO_LOAD_LIBRARY

Doing an ldd on libFdoPostgreSQL-3.5.0.so, on
libPostGISProvider-3.5.0.so and on libPostGISOverrides-3.5.0.so I do
not have any missing library reference

The same happens to all referenced dynamic libraries, no one shows
missing references.
Thus I cannot find which library is missing

However it appears that neither libFdoPostgreSQL-3.5.0.so, nor
libPostGISProvider-3.5.0.so, nor libPostGISOverrides-3.5.0.so depends
on libpq (PostgreSQL library).
How is it possible?
Does anyone have ever tried those provider and connect correctly to postgreSQL?

Are those providers been built correctly?

Note that I'm using OGRProvider with a libgdal built with PostgreSQL
support and it is working quite satisfactorily (and obviously it
depends on libpq4.dll)

Another question:

If I'm correct, PostGIS provider is the old one while
PostgreSQL/PostGIS is the new one, developed by Autodesk, thus more
promising.

Why I cannot find it in
http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/browser/branches/3.5/Providers?
Where is the source code?

Regars,

Gabriele Monfardini
