Hi Jackie,
IPv6 should not be mandatory. Do you know what the address is when this error happens? It's IPv4 or IPv6?
Thanks,
Mars

Subject: [mapguide-internals] IPv6 support mandatory?
Hi All,
Does MapGuide now *require* an IPv6-enabled connection in order to run?
I did a installation of trunk to a Windows 2003 Server box, and the server wouldn't start up due to "unsupported address family" error in ACE_Select_Reactor_T::open
Once I added IPv6 support, the server ran without problems.
