[mapguide-internals] are failed gdal connections are removed from the pool?

I am using a trunk build from sept, working with some png's without
CS info.. after several failed attempts to use these raster png's
I now can't create any more fdo gdal connections

otherwise, raster is working great

something isn't closing failed connections?
