For trunk submissions made by Autodesk developers, I think part of the problem is that they don't have bandwidth to officially test their fixes against the 2.4
Is there a gatekeeper for the 2.4 stream? That person could selectively integrate fixes and verify them in the context of 2.4.

I noticed there have been a fair few minor commits to trunk and the AD branches,
can they also be, as rule applied to the 2.4 branch?
for example this was just committed and I believe our users would benefit from
this in 2.4
