[mapguide-internals] Permanently drop the ArcSDE provider?

I did a quick check on the ESRI website and it looks as though access to the required SDK is through the Esri Developer Network (EDN) program. The last time I checked, an EDN subscription cost somewhere around $3000 USD per year.

Regards,
Trevor

You've hit the crux of the problem.

Those that can build the full MapGuide/FDO stack (who are not Autodesk) do not have access to the non-free ESRI SDK. How could GeoServer put out releases with ArcSDE support? Obviously someone in their build team must have a production/developer licence of ArcSDE in order to build such support.

We (who are not Autodesk) have no such people.

Unless you are raising your hand? :)
