 While the text placement in MapGuide TNG is generally pretty good, there
 are several cases where it really breaks good cartographic practice.

 In particular:

 - There does not seem to be any preference applied to the orientation of
 line segments.  Often, text will be placed on a curve in the middle of a
 line, rather than on a relatively straight segment.

 - Sometimes text appears upside-down. I believe that this occurs when
 placing multiple labels on a single line segment that curves
 signifigantly.

 I'm attaching images illustrating these cases.  This is on MapGuide 1.1.0,
 so maybe it's already been fixed :)
