Comment:

 I just encountered this issue with MG 2.0 on Linux. Performance was
 terrible until I
 created a single featureSource for each SHP and then it started to fly
 along.

 here is the file list, with the problem i had only the rail and road shps
 being used and no labelling. I only solved it because i remembered reading
 this bug a while ago :)
