  1. connect to a Linux server
  1. open a basic web layout in Firefox
  1. click Task
  1. select Measure Distance
  1. point a start and a stop in the map.
  1. clear measure and stop

 result:
 The measure layer still shows in the Layer box.

 expected:
 The measure layer should disappear.
