Comment (by brucedechant):

 - Added check for 0 length strings
 - Added missing stream close_writer(), close_reader() and close() methods.
   Note: This sometimes caused a TCP/IP mismatch error even though web and
 server were the same.
 - Removed unused TLS
 - Adjusted guards around thread data

 Fixed in sandbox/adsk/2.1 r4268
