Bruno made an enhancement for MapGuide Basic Layout to add a “Close Task
pane” button which can close the Task Pane to save the workspace (Ticket
#1044).[[BR]]

[[BR]]
The problem is, there is not a “Open Task pane” button which could bring
the Task Pane back when it’s closed. The original idea (Ticket #1044) was,
once a MapGuide built-in command is executed, e.g. Measure, the
ExecuteCommand function will expand the TaskPane automatically, this way
we don’t need an “Open Task pane” button. But for the “non-builtin”
functions, the TaskPane will not open automatically which will confuse the
customer.[[BR]]
[[BR]]
A solution is, : we add a “Open Task pane” button to make it possible to
open the Task Pane again at any time. [[BR]]
When the “Close Task pane” button is clicked, the TaskPane will disappear
and the “Open Task pane” button will show up like below:
[]
[[BR]]
The style of the “Open Task pane” button will change when a mouse hover
happens, just like the “Close Task pane” button. And there will also be a
tooltip: “Open the task pane”.[[BR]]
[[BR]]
Once the Task Pane has been opened by clicking the “Open Task pane”
button, the button will hide. [[BR]]
[[BR]]
We will also change the “Close task bar” tooltip to “Close Task pane”.
