 Fixed in r5726

 Note the following:

  * Symbol support was never implemented when you filed the ticket. If you
 selected the "Symbol" option in that combo box it should've said this
 feature is not supported.
  * Symbol previews only shows the raw symbol. It doesn't consider any
 color overrides or size/rotation settings. However this is still better
 than seeing nothing in the preview.
