 I propose the following enhancements to the XML editor:

 1 - to have a shortcut to select all the text, I suggest Ctrl+a.
     This is useful to cut & paste in a different XML editor
 2 - double click action should select a word and not the entire line
 3 - syntax highlighting would be a big bonus point
