 The theme improvements based on the initial (existing) thematic style do
 not preserve transparency.

 Create a style on an area layer with transparency
 Launch the thematic builder and select to use style from first rule
 Build style and apply

 Expected Result: transparency is preserved along with colour etc

 Actual Result: transparency settings are lost

 Current workaround is to reapply transparency on a per theme basis.

 In addition the "Change Base Style" button does not allow me to select an
 area fill - the area checkbox is disabled
