Comment:

 Please check if the current stable release of Fusion, or the one bundled
 with the 2.4 preview resolves this issue. If not, please make a ticket on
 the Fusion trac instance.

 FYI, I noticed your patches were to simply get working Markup
 functionality. The release of Fusion bundled with 2.4 also has a Redline
 widget derived from the same original Generic Tasks example, which
 basically already solves what you are trying to achieve.
