 Just a note that the same effect is also on "Duplicate" layers feature.
 I was completely flummoxed yesterday when one WMS layer worked and another
 didn't - until I remembered that I had used duplicate as a shortcut.

 Must remember to ALWAYS create new raster layers from "New Resource"!
