#2372: MapGuide repository modularization and cleaning
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
   Reporter: gabrimonfa | Owner:

   Priority: low | Milestone:
  Component: General | Version: 2.5.0

The problem: downloading code repository of current stable branch is 2.5GB

Since I'm not a MapGuide developer I'm by no mean pointing my finger
 against anyone.
Current developers should obviously choose to organize the repository to
 suit their needs.

However the repository is indeed very big to download and manage for a
 user trying to compile MapGuide.

 Some other consideration:

   * BuildTool directory comprises an old 7zip binary version for windows
   * Windows and Linux specific files are not separated
   * Oem directory takes 1.9GB containg a lot of other software to be
downloaded and compiled, often in older versions.

I think it would be helpful to move Oem in a separate repository, to state
clearly which version of software is used and if there have been MapGuide
 specific customization.
