Comment:

 The templates all reference a PNG sprite (`icons.png`) that contains all
 the icons.

 This sprite is built using this PHP script:
 https://trac.osgeo.org/fusion/browser/trunk/utils/imagestrip.php

 So if you want to replace an icon from the template, replace the
 corresponding icon file under `$TEMPLATE/images/icons` and then run the
 `imagestrip.php` script at that directory to generate a new `icons.png`
 sprite with your replacement icon(s)

 On a side note, please use the mapguide-users mailing list in the future
 for such questions.
