MapGuide is a server application and should be run on a "Server Class" operating system, ie: Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.

However, it does work on Windows XP, but is not "Officially" supported. For demo purposes in house we have setup MapGuide server and Studio on a Windows XP machine, but again this is not officially supported. For any real applications you should be using a "Server Class" operating system.

Hello All,

Does Mapguide Server work on windows XP Professional?

As mentioned in the requirements, it works only on Windows NT 2003 and Windows 2000.

But it is not specified in the Installation guide (https://mapguide.osgeo.org/docs/InstallConfigureMapGuideOnWindows.pdf) that what operating system should be used?
