[mapguide-users] How can I connect to my server with a WMS connection??

I’m inclined to think that there’s something else going on.  Not having any data sources published should only cause the WFS Capabilities document to list zero feature types; the same holds true for layers and WMS.

It seems i can connect, but i get a XML error.. To what URL do I connect? How does this work, is there any info on setting this up?

 

Just following up… do you happen to have (or remember) the XML error in question?

You must make your data "published" to the WFS.

Go to your Data-catalog in Studio. Right-click and choose "Properties". In the Service Properties tab you check the box "Public via Web Feature Service". An earlier bug was that you needed to fill in something in the "Keyword"s textfield.

 

If you already have done this and you still get an error, i dont know what the problem might be.

And what about WFS? 

 

Changing the service type in URL below, results in an error.

If you installed the Sheboygan sample data, then you can try this.  Enter this URL into your web browser (replacing the “localhost” with your server name if necessary):

 

http://localhost/mapguide/mapagent/mapagent.fcgi?SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.0.0&REQUEST=GetCapabilities
