The version that supports tooltips from points and lines in the AJAX viewer
is the latest one available for download on the site.  It is version
1.0.0.16802 (go into server Administrator and click on About to see what you
have).

When you say latest , do I have to install mapguide open source again. or do
i get a patch or update - if so where can i download it from. 
yes i get tooltip for polygons but only one polygon layer . there are 5
polygon layers in my map.
One change that i could see since i posted this was i can see the tool tip
in the layer preview in studio.

One more query - the mouse pointer does not change to zoom tool or pan tool
when i click on it though it functions like zoom tool or pan tool - any
idea.

Do you have the latest build of MapGuide Open Source installed? One major
bug that was fixed for the AJAX viewer in that release was tooltips not
displaying for line and point features. Do tooltips work for your polygon
layers?

Hi,

i am facing problems with tooltip display.
Tooltips are not dispalyed for all the layers. I am using property value ,
No expressions etc simply displaying the property from list of available
fields. 

I am using ajaxviewer in IE/FF . but i think this has got nothing to do with
browser or viewer because i am not able to see the tooltip in Preview window
of layer /map / weblayout also

please help
