[mapguide-users] Studio: Loaded Text Layers show up as points???

It worked. Though only for SHP files because they have this TEXTSTRING

Hi Jackie,

 

Try this:

 

In Studio, in the Layer Editor, in the Point Style panel, set the "Style of
the Geometry:" to None, and set the "Feature Label:" to the property that
holds the text string.

 

You might also want to check the "Labels are fixed (not dynamic)" checkbox
to ensure that the label text is positioned at the point coordinate.

Hi,

 

With previous versions of MapGuide Studio, I was able to import SDF text
layers and have them display as text without any problem. Now with this one
(public preview 1.0.0.16802) when I load

and exported SDF text layer, they always show up as points. I've tried the
same thing with text SHP files and they too show up as points.

 

Am I doing something wrong here?
